Where we’ve been and where we’re going
If you want to know the lore of how we got here you’re in the right place.

Quinten
Husband & Father
I was in the Army for 5 years where I served as a military police soldier. Including some time before and after the Army I attended 4 different colleges and changed my major 5 different times. I could never figure out what I wanted to do. Largely because I never came across a single career or skill that I wanted to dedicate the next 30+ years of my life to. At one point I thought I wanted to be a physical therapist, then a police officer, did a stint in the Army and then got into HVAC. Did that for awhile and decided to go back to college. I thought I wanted to be a nurse, covid happened and college got really weird. I decided to pursue web development as a major and surprise, also didn’t want to do that. I liked tech, so I figured I’d give IT a go and I was enjoying that major for the most part, but I was also working full time and had two little kids at home, my sleep schedule was suffering because I was doing school at night after the kids bed time. I found myself spending almost no time with Kelly and decided it would be best if I put all my efforts into my job during working hours, that way I could spend time with family. Shortly after that is when we discovered Kellys cancer. Looking back at all the hours wasted on trying to grind for work, school, in the gym, I was stretching myself so thin I wasn’t happy with how I was performing in any of those areas. Oh and I also spent the better part of a year trying to make it as a twitch streamer which was a long shot anyway. All this to say I spent a lot of time doing a lot of different things and wasn’t successful at any of them. Our vision of ditching the 9-5, launching a business and hitting the road in an RV with my family feels like the best decision I’ve made. My goal now is to live a simple life, enjoy the little things, and make memories with my family because there’s no way to know how long any of us are going to be around. There’s no sense in always worrying about tomorrow if tomorrow isn’t guaranteed.

Kelly
Wife & Mother
Hey it’s Quinten again, Kelly is still recovering from surgery so she’ll give you the deets when she’s feeling better, but she’s worth the wait I promise!!
